Installing the Salsa App for the First Time

 

You’ve created your account, you’ve received your booth, and you’ve even attended the Onboarding. Now what? Well, you will need to download the app to start running your first events!

Salsa iPad App

 

The Salsa app is separated into two versions that work together to provide the full Salsa experience. One can be accessed through the browser of your choice, and includes the full Event Editor with our library of pre-created assets.

The other, the iPad app, is downloaded and accessed only on your booth’s iPad. This app has a limited version of the Event Editor, however allows you to start and run the event in your Salsa or Guac Booth.


Step One

Check iPad Compatibility

 
  • You can find our list of compatible iPads here.

  • It is extremely important to ensure your iPad is compatible with the Salsa app.

  • The app will download regardless of whether your iPad is compatible!

  • While incompatible iPads may run the Salsa app, we cannot guarantee stability. This can cause crashes mid-event, loss of event captures, and many other issues.

Optimize iPad for Salsa

Step Three

Download the Salsa App

 

To download the Salsa app onto your iPad:

  1. Make sure your iPad is connected to a strong and stable wifi connection

  2. Navigate to the App Store app

  3. Search “Salsa Booth” in the search bar at the top of the screen

  4. Select the Salsa Booth app from the list; it is often the first app listed in the search

  5. Tap the “Install” button


Step Four

Log into the Salsa App

 

Once the Salsa app has been installed onto your iPad, it’s time to log in to your account!

  1. Make sure your iPad is connected to a strong, stable wifi connection

  2. Tap the Salsa Booth app icon on the iPad

  3. Input the email address associated with your Salsa account and your password

    • If you have not yet created a Salsa account, check our Account Creation support article for instructions on how to create your account!

  4. Start using your Salsa app!


Troubleshooting

Common Issues

 

When logging into your Salsa app for the first time, issues can sometimes occur. Don’t panic! Here are a few issues you may run into and how to resolve them:

  1. Receiving the “No Licenses Available” error

    • If you are receiving this error right after creating your account, the account may not be fully set up yet. Make sure to check the Account Creation support article and ensure you have finished all steps!

    • If you had previously set up an account but deactivated it, make sure to check out our Account Reactivation article to add a license.

  2. Receiving a “Log in Error: No account Could Be Found” error

    • Check and make sure the email address and password are being entered correctly when logging in!

    • If you don’t have an account set up yet, check out our Account Creation article to get started.

  3. There is a red bar along the top of the screen and/or receiving a “Log in Error: You must be connected to the internet in order to log in”

    • Make sure your iPad is connected to a stable, strong wifi connection

    • Make sure the wifi connection your iPad is connected to does not have a firewall blocking the Salsa app
